iPhone 4S

I have a new PHONE and it is an iPhone 4S. I still can’t believe that I now own an iPhone 4S. Well, I still can’t believe it because I simply can’t spend 30,000php plus for a phone and I am not into gadgets. I mean, hey, I don’t need them. I live in a rural area and people here don’t know what an iPhone, iPad, and iPod is and what are the differences between the three gadgets aside from its spelling of course. People who have taken computer classes would know what these are though.

But just recently my 2 years contract with GLOBE for my business plan (unli-call and unli-text) is finally over so I can renew my plan, upgrade it or downgrade it or I can chose to stop it. I choose to upgrade it from 999php to 1799php (unli-call, unli-text and unli-surf) and I can get a new iPhone 4S as a free phone (ohh, I had to pay an initial cash-out of 5000php).

My Mom with my two kids

My mother is such a good grandma, she loves my two kids so much. My eldest always sleep with her and I think my daughter will also be fond of her grandma 2 years from now.
I took a photo of them together and look at them, they look so happy together:

Music Lessons

I am a frustrated singer. Frustrated because I don’t have a good singing voice, I cannot even carry a tune when singing “DO RE MI”. I joined different choir groups when I was in high school, I even joined the Church choir. It didn’t enhance my voice, but it was a great help in building my self-esteem.

During my 18th birthday, I asked my dad for a guitar and he gave me what I wanted, though he was thinking of giving me something else, something different such as Selmer Paris Saxophones. Tried to take up guitar lessons from a friend who is a member of a band. I also tried to learn how to play my guitar through reading books on self-help. As of now, I can play the guitar but not that really well. At least I know how.

When I was young, I also thought of enrolling myself into a Piano Class or take up Violin lessons from our music teachers. But still, maybe music isn’t for me, or maybe it is but I just gave up on it easily.

Child’s ten commandments to parents!

Anyone who works with children, teachers, babysitters, and those with an early childhood education degree should also remember these commandments.

1. My hands are small. Please don’t expect perfection whenever I make a bed, draw a picture or throw a ball. My legs are short. Please slow down so that I can keep up with you.

2. My eyes have not seen the world as yours have. Please let me explore safely. Don’t restrict me unnecessarily.

3. Housework will always be there. I’m only little for such a short time. Please take time to explain things to me about this wonderful world, and do so willingly.

4. My feelings are tender. Please be sensitive to my needs. Don’t nag me all day long. (You wouldn’t want to be nagged for your inquisitiveness.) Treat me as you would like to be treated.

5. I am a special gift from God. Please treasure me, holding me accountable for my actions, giving me guidelines to live by and disciplining me in a loving manner.

6. I need your encouragement and your praise to grow. Please go easy on the criticism. Remember, you can criticize the things I do without criticizing me.

7. Please give me the freedom to make decisions concerning myself. Permit me to fail so that I can learn from my mistakes. Then someday, I’ll be prepared to make the kind of decisions life requires of me.

8. Please don’t do things over for me. Somehow that makes me feel that my efforts didn’t quite measure up to your expectations. I know it’s hard, but please don’t try to compare me with my brother or my sister.

9. Please don’t be afraid to leave for a weekend together. Kids need vacations from parents, just as parents need vacations from kids. Besides, it’s a great way to show us kids that your marriage is very special.

10. Please take me to worship regularly, setting a good example for me to follow.

Best Mom

If I have to give an award for my mother, it would be for the BEST MOM award. Why? Because simply she is the BEST. Every son or daughter adores their mother so much and every mother loves their children the way the kids should be raised and loved.

If we ask other people, of course they will also say that their mothers are the best, and I don’t want to make an argument with that. I simply want to say that I am lucky to have my mother because she is God-fearing, she loves her children so much and that she would do everything and give up anything just to make her kids happy. And though my mom’s birthday is not yet near, I am thinking of gifts for mom on her day already. I want everything to be perfect that is why as early as now I am already thinking of what to give her on her day.

PMC Token Again

PMC Token time once again. I want to share with you another PMC token I receive and this one right here came from Mommy Cielo. The pink one I haave in my bathroom right now, and the red one I gave to my bf because he needs it. In case you don’t know, this is a great tool that can be used in the bathroom.

I don’t know what it is called, but it can paired with the toothpaste in order to make it easy for us to get that last drop whatever you call it.

Surprise Baby Shower

I didn’t expect for a baby shower from my blogging friends but guess what, they pulled it off so good. They invited me for a met up at Pizza Hut – SM Cagayan de Oro City to have dinner and a little baby shower. Just a gift-giving night with no parlor games, no baby shower fancy invitations, and no fancy baby shower cakes. Just a simple get together with all the CDO mommy bloggers who are not busy. I didn’t receive any lab ovens for my baby shower, just baby clothes and baby needs.

Thanks for the Surprise Baby Shower Mommy Rubz, Mommy Jen, Mommy Dharlz and Mommy Kayce.

My Kaamulan Experience

We are on our way home from Cagayan de Oro City when we have decided to drop by at the Kaamulan Ground and check the Kaamulan Festival out. Today is the last day already and its 4pm already so we have not caught the parade and the program prepared for that day.

When we were walking along the Kaamulan grounds, I have seen a lot of people who do henna tattooing, so I have decided to try one for myself for only 60php. I kind of like it, it looks cute ain’t it?

I am so happy about my henna tattoo and I wonder until when will it last.

Fun Family Activities for Easter

Easter’s holiday traditions often involve lots of food coloring and hard-boiled eggs. And with a bunny as its mascot, and lots of candy to choose from, the holiday is naturally very appealing to the younger generations. Luckily for parents, the holiday is also a wonderful excuse for spending time with the family. This year, gather those closest to you and take advantage of all the possibilities of Easter. The following are some ideas to get the fun started – and eggs are just the beginning.

Color Easter Eggs. Although this is a given, coloring Easter eggs is both traditional and fun. The tried-and-true way of coloring eggs is first hard-boiling them and then dipping them into bowls of dye coloring. This activity is easy for kids of all ages, and the older kids can take their turn at being creative by dipping the bottom of the egg into one color and the top into another, which always turns out very cool.

These days, the egg coloring business has gotten even more creative – that is, if food coloring just isn’t your thing. In almost any store, you can find patterns, crayons for drawing on eggs, and fun patterns to glue onto eggs. Another fun idea is having an Easter egg coloring party and inviting the neighbors or your extended family. You can even include a best-coloring competition where the winner, or egg designer, wins a prize.

Do arts and crafts. Easter-themed arts and crafts are a nice way to keep the creative juices flowing for your kids. Consider making origami shapes or “dressing up” hard-boiled eggs to look like animated characters. These types of hands-on activities will keep your older kids interested and will be fun souvenirs as they grow. If you have family visiting from out of town for the holiday, such as grandma and grandpa, you can have them join in with the kids so they make something together.

Go outside. Although the exact date of Easter changes, it usually falls in the springtime which means sunny skies and blooming flowers. Why not get out and enjoy? Take your family to a nearby park and have a picnic (with plenty of marshmallow Peeps, of course) or enjoy the sunshine during a long walk.

A lot of local organizations such as churches, schools, and community centers also offer family activities at their facilities on Easter day so be sure to check nearby. You might be able to take the kids to the local community center for a traditional Easter egg hunt, or participate in a community egg toss.

Bake. It doesn’t take an education in family therapy to tell you that spending time with your family will have a positive impact on relationships and overall dynamics. It’s also a no-brainer that when the family is together, you’ll need to have some good food for everyone to enjoy. A fun family activity is baking as it’s easy to involve all of the kids and your partner. Divvy up tasks for everyone to do so they feel like they’ve contributed to the finished product. Some Easter-themed ideas are Easter-shaped cookies (eggs, bunnies, baskets), colorful cakes, or homemade candies.
