Celebrations with Tupperware

My mother used to be a Tupperware Dealer, maybe that’s the reason why most of the things we own in our house are from Tupperware Brands PH. We often held Tupperware Parties back then. My mother would invite her friends, my teachers, and our neighbors for a big Tupperware Party. These Tupperware Parties usually happen during my brother’s birthdays or mine.

Our parents love us so much that aside from the parties usually held at home, we also got to celebrate our birthdays in school. Here, let me show you a photo of my brother’s 6th birthday party:

This photo was taken in March 1996 and that was 21 years ago. We are still friends with the people here in the photo and our Pre-school Teacher is currently my children’s Pre-School Teacher.

Tupperware became a part of our family’s celebrations because it is perfect for us. It holds the food in place, doesn’t spill and so easy to travel with without the food getting contaminated. All the food that our mother prepares will be brought to school for the children’s party so she makes sure that it will be clean and safe to eat.

Tupperware has been with us for more than 30 years and we still purchase Tupperware Products even up to this day even though there’s a lot of plastic wares available in the market. We know that nothing beats Tupperware’s high-quality products and no other company provides a warranty like Tupperware does.

I am glad that my mother introduced me to Tupperware and even if she have stopped being a dealer, I became a Tupperware Dealer because I know I can help a lot of new mothers and new household by introducing them to Tupperware by educating them to invest their money wisely to products that can be used for more than 10 years because of its good quality products.

Every family celebration is incomplete without a Tupperware Product in tow. They have everything from plates, glasses, bowls, eco-bottles that we need in our everyday living. Today, Tupperware also offers cosmetic line. They have make up kits, feminine wash, lotions and even toilet bowl cleaner. I think we do not need to go to the mall anymore, Tupperware has it all.

What are you Thankful For plus a Giveaway

 

I received a package from Cetaphil Philippines last Friday. And I didn’t expect that the package will contain a LOT OF GOODIES. Though I already know that they are very generous when it comes to sending such gifts, I am still surprised to see what the package contains. I am a user of Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion for so long already and I love the effects of it on my skin. I think I am a user for more than a year now. My two kids are Cetaphil babies too, their Pediatrician recommends Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser because it is very safe to use on their delicate skin.

I am THANKFUL for a lot of things lately. I am thankful that God has given me two adorable kids. I am thankful that my blogging life is colorful and that I have made a lot of friends. I am thankful because finally I have walked the runway and experienced how it feels to be a ramp model for a day. I am thankful that I won a lot of giveaways from the time I learned that online giveaways are real.

Native Shoes – Corrado and Miller

I shared My Favorite Summer Experience in my Travel/Fashion Blog for Nuffnang’s Native Shoes Blog Contest and I won a 2500php worth of GC. Some of my friends already know that I love to join online contests so they supported me through liking my blog post, sharing it on twitter and Facebook, and by leaving a comment or two to make me feel that I deserve to be chosen as one of the 20 bloggers who will win a gift certificate from Nuffnang.

When I learned that I won, I was ecstatic because I have been longing to buy Native Shoes for my kids but just couldn’t afford it ( I mean I don’t have the budget yet to buy for two pairs of Native Shoes). I checked out Native Shoes online to see what style should I buy for my two kids. When the GCs arrived, I was happy and sad at the same time. Why? Because the GCs can only be used in the Trinoma branch.

I live in the province and if I have to use the GC in Trinoma, I need to book a flight and that would be very expensive for me. True blogging friends came in the picture to rescue me from my predicament. Sis Sam told me that she lives near Trinoma and that she could buy the pairs for me, actually I asked her to buy it for me (hahaha). Sent her the GCs and the shoe size of my two kids and told her the style I want. I am so glad that I have met online friends who are really nice and kind, and trust worthy too. Though I have not met her in person, Sam treats me like a sister already and I am glad I have found gold nuggets in a stack of hay.

I have chosen the Miller in Pink for my baby daughter and Sam chose Corrado in Sky Blue for my son. When the Native Shoes arrive, my two kids cannot wait but open the package without me!

As a mother to two kids, I have finally came to realize what are the things that I should be buying for me and my kids needs. Sometimes there are things that I find suitable for me but I cannot easily buy in any department stores simply because they do not sell it. I am glad though that I have finally found the online store that cater my needs and my kids needs as well.

Giveaways: To Join or Not To Join

There are so many online giveaways that I see everyday that I open my Facebook account. Some of my friends are into it and some are not. There are giveaways which are so easy to join, a few likes, a few follow, and a few share and then you are done with it. And there are some giveaways which have so many mandatory entries and yet less expensive prizes.

So this is my say with regards to Giveaways and Online Contests: (for the contest makers/giveaway host ). In order to host a successful giveaway, giveaway host should keep these in mind:

  • The PRIZE must be enticing to the contest joiners. If your prizes are beauty products, you should know to market your giveaway and reach the right people who will be interested to join your giveaway, then find the women who are interested to your giveaway by checking out Facebook Pages and Facebook groups which have members that are interested in using different beauty products and trying out new beauty products because eventually they will join your giveaway.
  • The value of the PRIZE must compensate the hardness of the mandatory entries to be eligible to join the contest, or the contest/giveaway mechanics should be easier if the prize is of much lesser value. I mean, I am an online contest joiner but I don’t join online giveaways that asks me to do a lot of things just for a cheap prize. But I do join online contest with a 100php worth value of prize but asks me to like just one page and follow one twitter account then have optional entries to share. Sometimes it also depends if I really want that product or prize. But it if okay to have so many Facebook pages to like and Twitter accounts to follow if the PRIZE has of great value such as gadgets and cellphones.
  • Rafflecopters are IN these days. If you are not a FAN of it, try signing up for it. It is easier for you to check the entries and to choose the winner/s right after the giveaway closes so you don’t have to DELAY the announcement of winner/s anymore.
  • Please CONTACT the WINNER/s especially when you ask for our EMAIL ADDRESS. There are contest host who do not bother to email the winner/s and just make a blog post about the winner in their blogs without contacting them, seriously? If you bothered to ask us to put our email ads in your contest post, we wait for you to email us and its not the other way around.

For online giveaway or online contests joiners, know these online rules(actually there are no rules but honestly, I want you to keep these things in mind) for joining online contests:

  • BE HONEST. Yes, if you think we (online giveaway hosts) don’t check entries, WE DO. And if we caught you cheating (didn’t like the pages, didn’t follow the accounts, etc) we tend to remember you and the next time that you join, we will not include you in the raffle anymore.
  • Do not UN-FOLLOW, do not UN-LIKE, but you can DELETE your status about the giveaway or blog post about the giveaway after we announce the winner. In case you don’t know it, we (again online giveaways host) have a Facebook group where we sometimes share our musings and thoughts and sometimes online contests joiners are our topic. We tend to talk about the notorious online contest joiners who easily un-follow and un-like right after the contest. Then FOLLOW and LIKE again if we have a new giveaway. We kind of put you on the “HIT LIST” and though you exerted an effort to join our latest giveaways and our blogging friend’s giveaways, you are not included in the raffle anymore.
  • Check out the page once the Contest ends especially those giveaways/contests that didn’t ask for your email ads because they will not contact you.

Young does a very good job telling a well-rounded story; giving you bits and pieces, hints of connections here and there, but not enough for you to figure things out until he wants you to. I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Young and I hope this is only the beginning of Simon’s story!
