Giving birth can be a stressful time for expecting mothers, but choosing to work with a doula Tampa can help improve the labor and delivery process for many women and their families. Doulas are not medical professionals and do not provide any prenatal or postpartum medical care. They work alongside midwives and doctors to provide support to the mother while the doctor performs the delivery. Doulas can be present for either home or hospital births. There are several benefits of hiring a doula for this significant moment in life.
1. Doulas Help Educate You Prior to Delivery
Most often, doulas build relationships with expecting mothers prior to labor and delivery. They often help educate the family on the birthing process and provide advice on how to make the experience less stressful. They may suggest certain foods, massages, breathing exercises, or other activities that can help the new parents prepare emotionally and physically for the upcoming due date. Doulas are often available for mothers to ask questions or present concerns.
2. Doulas Promote a Calm Environment
When the delivery day arrives, there are many ways a doula can help make the environment as stress-free as possible. This can include dimming the lights, using aromatherapy, massaging the mother, or grabbing snacks and water.
3. Doulas Provide Emotional Support During Labor
Doulas offer a tremendous amount of emotional support during labor. They can provide encouraging words and bring positivity to the situation. They can also advocate for the mother by helping her get her preferences and concerns across to nurses, doctors, or other medical professionals involved in the process.
4. Doulas Often Provide Lactation Counsel
While not all doulas are present during the postpartum process, many will help provide lactation support following the birth and help the mother address any latching issues. Some doulas might even be certified lactation experts.
Welcoming a newborn babe is a joyous occasion, full of excitement and anticipation. You're gearing up for a new family member, creating a to-do list of everything that needs to be done. As you paint the nursery and stock up on diapers, you want to think about the delivery day, ensuring that you pack for yourself and your little arrival. Here are four things that might make this time a bit more comfortable.
Have a Birth Plan
When contractions start, you may not feel comfortable making any major decisions; therefore, months before the big day take time to research birthing plans, deciding on where and how you want the big day to occur. You'll want to consider location, expertise and atmosphere. Do you want a relaxed setting? Are you interested in a water birth? Visit local medical facilities such as tampa bay birth center to learn about alternatives to the traditional hospital route. After picking the appropriate place, decide on how you want care provided. Do you want an epidural? Do you prefer a natural approach? At what point would you consider a C-section. Write it out, and keep others aware of your choices.
Have Nursing Clothes
If you've never nursed before, you may not realize that it's helpful to have different attire. After all, the little one may be hungry all night, and you don't want to pull tops and bras up and down. You'll already be tired enough. Have outfits that quickly fold from the front or unbutton, hopefully saving you time and headache.
Have Baby Clothes
You may want to dress up the baby for pictures or simply to show him or her off, so pack numerous outfits, including clothes in multiple sizes and different styles. Hats, gloves and socks may seem silly, but newborns quickly become cold. Keep several handy.
Spend some time thinking about the big day ahead of time. Create your plan, and pack your bags. Then, enjoy some snuggle time.
Many middle-aged Americans find themselves caring for an elderly adult, usually a parent. It is a labor of love, but it is work. So much effort goes into caring for an elderly parent most people find they need help at some point.
Specialized Care for Them
Sometimes injuries dictate when it is time for a specialized facility. Chronic medical conditions may prevent the elderly from taking care of their own medical and hygiene needs; such cases are usually obvious. However, sometimes the change is less abrupt and the line is blurred such as with many dementia cases. If your aging parent lives with you changes may be so gradual you barely notice them, so keep a written record that can serve as an objective measure. If your parent has trouble recognizing you, remember where he or she is, or finding the words to communicate basic ideas, it may be time for memory care denver. Recurring falls, decreasing mobility or increasing isolation may indicate a need for assisted living.
General Care for You
You may spend so much time and energy meeting the needs of an elder adult that you neglect your own needs. You cannot give what you don’t have, so be sure you care for yourself as well as you care for others. Keep yourself physically healthy with good nutrition, quality sleep and regular exercise. Keep yourself mentally healthy by nurturing social connections, sustaining a positive attitude and maintaining your sense of humor. Remember that you need breaks from the daily care activities you perform for your parent, so reach out to family members and friends to see if they can spell you for a bit. A short vacation can recharge your batteries and allow you to return home refreshed and re-energized. If no one is available to help, reach out to community services and support organizations. Programs like adult day care can afford you a few hours of respite each week and give your parent mental stimulation at the same time.
Anyone who is becoming a mother for the first time knows it can be exciting, nerve-wracking and emotional, all at once. There seems to be a never-ending list of decisions to make, from names to registering and birth plans. Take a deep breath, and remember that you have nine months for many of the preparations, so you don’t need to rush.
1. Get Prenatal Care
The most important part of any pregnancy is obtaining appropriate prenatal care. You should begin searching for a medical provider right away. It’s tempting to simply search the internet for pregnancy care center Tampa FL, for example, but you should make sure to do a little research. Ask for a tour of their facility, and ensure they offer the type of services you want.
2. Register/Buy the Essentials
Usually after the first trimester, it’s time to begin the process of preparing for the baby’s arrival. If you have a friend who has recently had a baby, now is the time to ask for help registering. There are hundreds of baby products available, but you don’t need many of them. Try to be practical when looking through choices, knowing you’ll need basics like diapers and bottles, but that maybe bottle warmers and noise machines can wait until the baby is born and you know whether you’ll actually need them.
3. Create a Birth Plan
It’s always a good idea to have a birth plan and discuss it with your provider. Perhaps just as importantly, though, is to understand that plans need to be flexible. Depending on the medical needs of you and your baby, as well as whether your baby decides to arrive early or late, you may need to make adjustments.
Motherhood is one of the most wonderful gifts in a woman’s life. Don’t let it overwhelm you, though. Make it a point to get proper medical care and create a birth plan, as well as buy essentials for the baby’s arrival. You’ll soon be holding your little one and preparing for a life with new purpose.
That moment when your child makes his or her debut into the world can be the most amazing feeling. Getting to that moment, however, can often be a worrisome time. Understanding what will happen and preparing for it can be one way to ease the anxiety.
Choose the Right Place
While most childbirths take place at a hospital, some may feel more comfortable at home or at a birthing center San Antonio. Take a tour of the facility and ask lots of questions. No matter where you choose, make sure to maintain open communication with your doctor or midwife. Let them know what your expectations are and allow them to share theirs.
Be Physically Active During Your Pregnancy
In most healthy pregnancies, getting some exercise is encouraged. Labor and delivery can be very physically taxing, so helping your body build endurance and strength can help you be more prepared. Be sure to check with your doctor first to make sure it’s safe for you to exercise while pregnant.
Have the Essentials Ready
If you suddenly go into labor, it’s likely the last thing you’ll be thinking about is stopping at the store to buy diapers and wipes. Before you reach the end of your pregnancy, it can help to have the basics on hand for when you get home with your baby. That doesn’t mean you have to have a fully stocked and decorated nursery; the baby will probably be fine with a few outfits and blankets, diapers and wipes, plenty to eat and a safe place to sleep.
Welcoming a new baby into your life is a beautiful moment, but it isn’t always a stress-free experience. You can head into it more prepared by choosing the right hospital or birthing center, getting your body ready for labor and having a few essential items ready when the time comes.
Climate Change is a big problem that we are currently facing right now. Climate Change has a bad effect not only to our country but to the Whole World affecting not only the environment but also to us, humans. Anywhere I turn to, I see pollutions – Air Pollutions, Water Pollutions, Land Pollution. These pollutions are the main causes why there are viruses and diseases that are aggressive and too hard to handle. Prevention is better than cure so it is always proper to do what we can in order to prevent such illness and sickness away from our children.
We provide healthy food/diet to our children such as milk, biscuits and other fortified food. But these are not enough because times are changing now, the viruses and bacterias are evolving.
We need to give our children more health protection. Superior protection that we can get from Ceelin Plus. Ceelin Plus has Vitamin C PLUS Zinc for Proteksyong Plus. (With Ceelin Plus there’s another layer of protection – the first one is the Ceelin helmet which stands for Vitamin C. The additional layer (Plus) is the shield which represents Zinc
Vitamin C and Zinc found in Ceelin Plus can actually reduce severity and shorten bout of sickness. Imagine what it can do if it’s used every day – it can really protect the child from getting sick.
Furthermore, Ceelin Plus has an advantage over other Vitamin C and Zinc products. It has ZincPlus technology which ensures the correct levels of Vitamin C and Zinc; so, the child is assured of superior protection.
Ang batang naka-Ceelin Plus, may Proteksyong Plus!
I am a Proud BREASTFEEDING MOM to two kids and I am not ashamed of it. When I gave birth to my first-born, I was not scared to breastfed him and even though it hurt so much, I still push through with the breastfeeding because I know he will greatly benefit from it. And because I am a breastfeeding advocate I am inviting you all for a Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign that will happen on August 3, 2013 at Centrio Mall from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This event came about through Mommy Bright Side’s idea in cooperation with the German Doctor’s Mother Club and and Breastfeeding Pinays.
The activity or project is entitled, Coming Together, Feeding Together – “A Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign” that aims to promote the importance of providing a stronger support system to breastfeeding mothers and their babies. As a mother to two kids, I have finally came to realize what are the things that I should be buying for me and my kids needs. Sometimes there are things that I find suitable for me but I cannot easily buy in any department stores simply because they do not sell it. I am glad though that I have finally found the online store that cater my needs and my kids needs as well.
Of course, I am a meticulous mother so I checked out the site’s About Us page and found this incredible description of their site:
- Founded in 2009, Babiestotoddlers.com is an online retail of hard to find items for juvenile products for infants through toddlers. We carry a carefully selected assortment of the finest quality baby gear, nursery and feeding accessories, baby aids plus variety of wooden mobiles, toys and more! At Babies to Toddlers, we strive to offer only the best quality products tailored toward your lifestyle and based on your child’s development. Each product is pre-selected for innovation, excellence, social consciousness, development appropriateness and styles.
It is so tiresome to go around different malls and boutiques just to look for the things that I need that is why I like this online store so much because I can just sit down in front of my computer and browse their store then buy something that I need without spending on the gas and without exerting too much effort to find the thing that I need at the moment.
One thing that caught my attention when I was browsing Babies To Toddlers is the Baby Bond Nursing Sash. Being a breastfeeding mom, it was so hard for me when I gave birth to my first-born because I need to bring him whenever I go and yes, it was awkward when I breastfed him in public areas. After 5 years, I came to know about this great product innovation and I learned to LOVE IT. If you are a new mom and the thing that keeps you from breastfeeding your child in public is the prying eyes of other people on your breast, then you should worry no more. You don’t have to buy that expensive nursing tops in the department store because the magical Nursing Sash is here to cover your breast but not your child’s face.
Another product that I find helpful is the Aqueduck Children Faucet Extender now that I have a first-grader. My son is 6 years old already and it is quite hard for me to pick him up and wash his hands in the sink, so having the Aqueduck Children Faucet Extender will be of great help for me and my son. He can now manage to wash his own hands without me carrying him because the water can now reach his dirty hands.
And now, we are into the YUMMIEST part of this blog post, the giveaway mechanics! Yes, Babies To Toddlers will sponsor a giveaway here in my blog. There are two winners for this giveaway, Winner #1 will win an Aqueduck Children Faucet Extender while Winner #2 will win a pack of Potty Covers. Just log in to the Rafflecopter below and Follow the Mandatory requirement in order for you to join the raffle and of course there are Optional requirements too to gave you more chance of winning.
I will have to choose the winner using the Rafflecopter and Babies To Toddlers will verify the winners first before I announce it here in my blog so be sure to follow all the mandatory requirements.
